We are taught to instill our Lord's Truth into our children's hearts from the very beginning.

They need to know of God's everlasting love for them, and of our Redemption through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ!

Raising up Godly children in a wicked world is no easy task! We need to be constantly aware of the ways in which evil is influencing our children. We are warned time and again throughout Scripture, to be aware of satan's devices, and to not let any man deceive us.

These days Spiritual Discernment is greatly lacking in the Church. I recommend reading an outstanding book on the New Age movement using different outlets to harm and influence our children... and adults alike.

Something that every single parent needs is support!

We need to be surrounded by family, friends, and our brothers and sisters in Christ. Sometimes that is easier said than done, though.

If the local churches in your area offer Singles Ministries, check into them. Talking with others who understand your circumstance can be very therapeutic. You may find friends you have alot in common with! There are opportunities to join Single Parent support groups in many cities.

There are a growing number of support groups for Single Parents on the Net! These sites provide a multitude of Single Parent resources as well. Even if it's only in cyberspace you have another Single Parent to connect with, that is still support!

These Single Parent Resources can be found through the "Community Services" or "Social Service Organizations" sections in your telephone book. Your local Department of Human Services will have more information about your specific options.

If you ever have an emergency or experience a crisis, it is good to know these Single Parent resources are available. Do not hesitate to contact someone immediately if you or your children are ever abused, or in need of any of these essential resources.
