Scriptural Encouragement
For Single Parents

Encouragement For Christian Single Parents!

Holy Scripture, The B-I-B-L-E , The very Word of God; is The Almighty revealing Himself to us, His Creation.

We are created in the image of God... Each one of us was fashioned in our mother's womb, fearfully and wonderfully made.
Psalm 139: 13,14

You and I are not here on this planet by accident. Our children are not alive by "chance". Scripture tells us we were all created by a very real and loving God.

"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee" Jeremiah 1:5

Single Parents are consumed daily by the myriad of responsibilities that are set before them. There are certainly days I feel like turning my "mommy badge" in and letting someone else take over... but, that just isn't going to happen.

Parenting alone is one of the most difficult jobs in this world! Thankfully, we can always turn to Scripture for Encouragement, when we are feeling overwhelmed and frustrated.

The Lord has given us a huge responsibility in parenting our children. Doing it alone is simply unbearable at times.

That is when the Father asks us to turn to Him... to hold on to the faith He planted inside of us. To BELIEVE that He has a Plan and Purpose for each of our lives, and to know it will NOT always be this way.

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1

Our Lord has revealed to us in His Word that HE is the FATHER of the fatherless. HE is the husband to the widows. (This term may include ANY unmarried mother.)
Christian Poems

Over time, I have learned that our Lord knows how to protect us and our children from harm. He removes negative influences from their lives. We must somehow come to understand that He is doing all in our best interest. It is not possible to know why everything happens in life, with our limited human minds.

But we can be sure of one thing:
" And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,"
Romans 8:28

One of the most Encouraging Scriptures is:
"But my God shall supply ALL your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Phillippians 4:19

That is some mighty encouragement for us! We have the promise from Almighty GOD that He will provide everything we need. According to His infinite riches, not earthly riches, but HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus!!!

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, He will always provide a way. We have to stand firm in our Faith. God is our ever-present help in trouble and He is with us continually, as Scripture reveals.

Daily it is difficult, but we must always remember our Eternity is secure.

This is all temporary...

God's Gift of Eternal Life!

We are all blessed in so many ways. We just have to adjust our thinking from focusing on our problems to counting all our blessings. It may take some time, but God will give us a positive outlook and perspective if we ask Him.

When we ourselves have been Encouraged in the Lord, then we can comfort others who may be going through similar trials we have endured and come through.

Daily seeking His Will and allowing His Spirit to guide us will improve our ability to make wise decisions.

Proverbs is one of the most practical books in Scripture to apply to our daily lives. I pray you will read a few Proverbs each day. I know you will find much Encouragement there!

If any of you lack Wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." James 1:5

"The fear (reverence) of The Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Proverbs 1:7

I want to Encourage you today to look up. Look to Him, the beginner and finisher of our faith. The One who cannot lie, and will keep you and your children in His capable Hands until the day we return to Him!

Though parenting alone is difficult, there is ONE you can always turn to.

He is always listening and desiring an intimate relationship with you.

He is the only TRUE love I have ever known.

Trust in His Word and earnestly BELIEVE every promise in His Scripture for your own life.

He Loves you. He Loves your precious children. He will see that you are cared for and protected all the days of your life.

Praise God, who alone is WORTHY of our praise!

There is one particular Psalm that has given me so much peace, hope, and encouragement. I would love to share it with you, and pray that you will be blessed by it. I sincerely hope that you and your family will be blessed by this entire Web Site dedicated to Single Parents!

Psalm 91:

1. "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2. I will say of the Lord, HE is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.

3. Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4. He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His Truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6. Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10. There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11. For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all of thy ways.

12. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known My Name.

15. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him.

16. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him My salvation."
